Above and beyond the complete physical exam, the wellness exam that we provide to each adult patient annually is the core of our proactive and preventative medicine approach. We will focus on cardiovascular disease first. Why? It is the number one cause of death in the US. It is preventable. Your cardiovascular risk will be assessed using Cleveland Heart Labs panel including advanced lipid analysis and inflammatory markers. We will obtain and EKG and a CXR. We will also assess body composition analysis, nutritional evaluation, anxiety and depression screening, and sexual health function. We will use evidence based screening tools to evaluate your social and emotional well-being. A complete hormone analysis to help measure bio-markers of aging can also be measured for those that wish to have this done. This information will be used to develop your individualized wellness plan. It may include nutraceuticals, hormone replacement, prescription medications, a nutritional program, and an exercise program.
Bio-Identical Hormones:
We specialize in the management of menopause and andropause using bio-identical hormone therapy. Bio-identical hormones are also referred to as natural hormone therapy because they match the molecular structure of the hormones we produce. They fit precisely, like puzzle pieces, into receptor sites on our cells that in response produce the desired effect in our bodies. They are derived from plant sources such as yams and soy. We treat each person’s symptoms individually and work with you to tailor your prescription using hormone levels as a guide. . Bio-identical hormones are custom prepared by a pharmacist who specializes in compounding medications from combinations of ingredients as prescribed by the physician. Following a comprehensive wellness exam including a complete hormone evaluation, we may integrate hormone therapy into your individualized plan to help you reach your peak vitality. Family Medicine:
We offer traditional family medicine services including well child care and sick care for all ages and for both men and women. This may also include yearly gynecology, school physicals, pre-operative clearances, joint injections, and routine immunizations.
